Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab reviews public service delivery in health sector

Multan: Measures have been initiated to further improve service delivery at health centers in South Punjab and instructions have been issued to coordinate health facilities from basic health centers to tertiary hospitals.

Instructions have also been given to speed up the implementation on the directives of Chief Minister Punjab. These instructions were issued by Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab Capt.(R) Saqib Zafar,while presiding over a review meeting in connection to public service delivery in health sector. South Punjab Capt.(R) Saqib Zafar said the decision to appoint consultants in the evening and night shifts in DHQs and THQs be strictly implemented. He said surprise visits be paid to ensure presence of doctors and para medical staff in health center in far flung area.

He asked to further improved health indicators and directed to take best measures for dengue control. Capt.(R) Saqib Zafar said that 200 posts have been approved for Nishtar II Hospital which will be filled through transfer. He directed to ensure availability of medicines on the occasion of the activation of OPD of Nishtar II Hospital on May 31st.
