AJK govt. believes in women empowerment : Spokesman

The spokesperson to Prime Minister AJK Tauseef Abbasi has said that the work on development projects in Azad Kashmir is going on rapidly.

In his statement issued from the PM’s office on Monday he said that all the projects in AJK would be completed within the stipulated period of time.

The PM Tanvir Ilyas has provided respectable job opportunities to the women. Similarly, they were given full representations in the local bodies elections in AJK.

He said that the government introduced 11 new trades in technical education in women development institutions from which some 1650 women would benefit. Likewise, Pink Bus Service is also initiated for the women. Moreover, interest free loans would also be given to them.

The PM AJK has enhanced the distribution to Rs 36000 from Rs 3000 per annum from Zakat Fund that gave direct advantage to the deserving people.

“The Kashmiri women are very talented who showed their skills in every field of life. The development of the state is linked with the empowerment of women”, the spokesman added.

Abbasi was of the view that it is a good omen that several organizations in the public as well as private sector are making laws to abolish gender discrimination.

He said that the provision of basic amenities to the people at their threshold is the priority of the government.
