AJK govt to complete all development projects : PM

Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhary Anwar-ul-Haq has said that the completion of ongoing development projects is the top most priority of the AJK government.

He was speaking to Member of Legislative Assembly Sardar Hassan Ibrahim telephonically. Later a delegation of elected representatives of local bodies from Rawalakot district also called on the PM here at Kashmir House on Monday.

He assured MLA that the funds would be released at earliest for the construction of district headquarters hospital at Rawalakot.

He ordered that the chemists and druggists would not sell any medicine without the prescription of registered doctors in AJK.

He said that if any government servant would be found involved in the narcotics business, then severe action would be taken against him. He issued strict instructions regarding control of drugs in the state.

“The government is working to provide basic facilities to the people. We would move forward by taking all the stakeholders on board.

He assured the delegation that vehicles would be provided to the Rawalakot Fire Brigade.

The delegation requested the PM to visit Rawalakot which he accepted.

The delegation was composed of Deputy Mayor Rawalakot Muhammad Nisar Qazi, Former Administrator Municipal Corporation Sardar Arshad Niazi and others.
