Alvi panel emerges victorious in AJK Cricket Association elections

Rawalpindi: Fazal-ur-Rehman Alvi Panel won the elections  in four out of five zones of Azad Kashmir Regional Cricket Association , which were organized under the supervision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Sajjad Ali Khokhar was elected President of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Regional Cricket Association by eight votes. The elections were held for the five zones of Azad Kashmir, in which elected representatives exercised their right to vote.

Prior to this, candidates nominated by the Fazal-ur-Rehman Alvi Panel were successful in four out of the total five zones of Azad Kashmir.

The Election Commission of the Pakistan Cricket Board issued notifications of the successful candidates.

After the success, the group leader Fazal-ur-Rehman Alvi said that all successful representatives of Azad Kashmir will work for the promotion of cricket according to the policies of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

“It is important to divert the youth towards positive activities like sports instead of negative distractions and provide them with an opportunity to express their positive potential”, he added.
