Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday expressed heartfelt grief on passing away of hockey legend Abdul Rashid Junior.
The military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released Army Cheif’s statement via tweet and send condolences to the hockey legend’s family.
“Pak[istan] has lost an iconic sportsman & a great human being. May Allah bless his soul & give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss, Ameen,” COAS.

It must be noted that on November 4, Olympian Abdul Rashid Jr. died at the age of 79. He was suffering from kidney disease and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Islamabad.
