Ayaz Sadiq is appointed as a new minister of law by PM Shehbaz.

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed senior PML-N politician Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to oversee the Ministry of Law and Justice. Azam Nazeer Tarar had resigned the previous week, citing personal reasons.

In addition to his responsibilities as minister of economic affairs, Sadiq has been assigned the portfolio of law and justice, according to the announcement made by the Cabinet Division.

“I have the great honour and privilege to serve my country as the federal minister for law and justice under the capable leadership of Mian Mohammed Shehbaz Shareef,” Tarar wrote in his resignation letter to President Dr. Arif Alvi on October 24. However, I am unable to carry out my responsibilities as the federal minister owing to personal considerations.
