Barrister Sultan backs Imran’s stance regarding electronic voting system

CHARHOI: The Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to give right to vote to overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris through electronic voting system, this is a remarkable decision which will give the basic right to overseas community, said the former PM AJK, President PTI AJK, and Member Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry here on Wednesday. He expressed this while addressing a session in Charhoi.
He said that he raised the issue of giving right to vote to overseas Kashmiris in his budget speech, but the PM AJK Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan could not take any step in this regard even after the time period of 5 months. The Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced it so there would be a prompt implementation on this decision, he added.
Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry said that overseas community plays an important role in the economy of the country. Therefore, it is inevitable to give right to vote to overseas people, he further said.
