Labour Day, also known as May Day, is celebrated around the world on 1st May to comme morate the contributions and achievements of workers. In Pakistan, it is a public holiday and a day to recognize the hard work and dedication of the country’s workforce.

Pakistan has a large and diverse workforce, with millions of people employed in various sectors such as agriculture, industry, services, and construction. Despite their significant contributions to the economy, workers in Pakistan often face challenges such as low wages, long working hours, unsafe working conditions, and lack of job security.
