MUZAFFARABAD: Various parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir including Muzaffarabad have been reeling from intense cold wave since the wee hours of Monday. According to details, top mountainous areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir continue to freeze under an intense cold wave. The cold weather led to a dip in the day temperature. However, the night temperature improved to intolerable cold in the mountainous terrain of AJK.

In the snow-clad mountainous Neelum and Leepa valleys, the locals were compelled to be confined into their houses to avert negative impacts of the harshness of the sudden change in weather on the normal life. More rains in plain areas and snowfall on upper reaches of AJK during the next couple of days, have been forecast.
