Corona second wave: Balochistan decides to impose ‘smart lockdown’

Quetta: The Balochistan government on Wednesday decided to impose ‘smart lockdown’ to prevent the resurgence of deadly coronavirus.

According to details, the government has decided to impose smart lockdown in view of second wave of Covid-19 after which wearing masks have been made mandatory in all public and private offices, shopping malls and transportation system.

Those who do not wear masks will be prosecuted under section 144.

As per the notification released by interior ministry of province, all recreational spots will be closed by 6:00 pm and shopping malls and restaurants by 10:00 pm across province.

Decision regarding educational institutions will be taken in the meeting of November 23.

Pakistan has reported 37 coronavirus deaths and 2,208 new positive cases in one day.

According to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), around 2,208 cases of coronavirus were reported while 37 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 7,230.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 363,380.
