Rawalakot () The former Prime Minister and President of AJK Sardar Yaqoob Khan has said that when he was in the office of PM, record development works were completed but after that no government spent even a single penny on the projects.
He was speaking in a public gathering that was held on the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of a three kilometer long road from Jabota Cross to Namnota . He said that if the people would support him ,he would tell them about the conspiracies about how the development projects were sabotaged in Azad Kashmir in the past.
He said that the important project from Khai Galla to Ali Sajal road has become the target of conspiracies by some people, who were sitting in power at that time for their personal interest. Even the project is also significant for the defense purpose. Now there are still some elements who are creating hurdles in the way of the projects. He said that the people should be aware of the plots that are taking place against the development of AJK.
He said that he would continue the service to the people till his last breath. He would run pillar to post to complete Khai Galla – Ali Sajal road project. People have to sacrifice their precious land for the project. No compromise would be made on the quality of the road . Now the Public Works Department is supervising the post which would be completed with a hefty amount of Rs 75 million.
Earlier when he reached Jabota Cross , the people gathered there took him in the shape of a rally to the place of a public meeting.
On the occasion , the local leaders including Sardar Tassaduq Hussain, Fahad Yaqoob, Sardar Zafar Mehmood , Councilors Latif Inqalabi, Muhammad Ali and Saleem Chughtai also spoke on the occasion.
