The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir would hold a three-day Eid Kashmir festival with zeal and zest from 27th April to 29th April at Muzaffarabad.
It was decided by the special committee for national celebrations, which met under the chairmanship of its Convener and Senior Most Minister of AJK government, Khawaja Farooq Ahmed.
During the celebrations competitions of Cricket, Football, Badminton, Marathon Race and other local sports would be held besides the cultural activities.
On the occasion the different stalls would also be set up, where Kashmiri handicrafts would be exhibited as well as indigenous dishes would be served to the visitors.
During the meeting the Senior Most Minister Khawaja Farooq Ahmed said that the objective of holding the festival is to develop the tourism opportunities in AJK, where the state government would provide full facilities to the tourists.
“The famous gliders of Pakistan, would show their skills in paragliding and motor gliding during the festival so that the event could be made memorable”, Khawaja added.
He said that the entire AJK is full of natural scenery. He called the tourists from all over the country to visit AJK during Eid festival to enjoy the event and get firsthand information about the culture of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
