Former PM Imran Khan injured in firing incident during PTI long march in Wazirabad

Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is said to be in stable condition at the Shaukat Khanum hospital in Lahore, where he was transferred after suffering an injury during an attempted assassination during the party’s lengthy march in Wazirabad, Gujranwala, on Thursday.
PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan was injured by the gunfire as well. Faisal Javed was taken to a local hospital shortly after the incident, and one suspect was detained.

The PTI leadership would have been completely destroyed if the shooter had not been prevented by those present.
Asad Umar, the head of the PTI, added that a man fired first with an automatic weapon.
