FM: Pakistan will protest the US ambassador’s remarks regarding nukes. Bhutto Bilawal

KARACHI: Pakistan has decided to summon the US ambassador to the Foreign Office to protest President Joe Biden’s remarks about the nation’s nuclear capacity, according to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Saturday.
Speaking at a news conference, Bilawal stated, “We know how to secure our nuclear arsenal and they meet every single international norm in accordance with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) as far as security and safety is concerned.
“Pakistan is steadfast in upholding its safety and integrity. If there are any security concerns, they should be brought up regarding India’s nuclear weapons after one of its missiles accidentally entered Pakistani territory lately.

President Biden’s remarks had been thoroughly reviewed by Bilawal with the Prime Minister, who expressed his hope that this episode would not have a negative impact on ties between Pakistan and the US.

“This is not only reckless and dangerous, but it also raises major questions about the security of nations with nuclear weapons. Biden’s comments surprised people. The lack of involvement, in my opinion, is the cause of these misunderstandings, the foreign minister declared.

According to Bilawal, “We will ensure that our relations with the US continue in the proper way.

Regarding the sensitivity of Biden’s comments, Bilawal emphasized that it wasn’t a formal event, a speech to the legislature, or an interview.
It served as a fundraiser. This language was used informally, thus it should be interpreted accordingly. I believe we will interpret this statement accordingly, he said.
He did, however, issue a warning that the country should refrain from peddling conspiracies.

Joe Biden, the vice president of the United States, stated on Saturday that Pakistan may be “one of the most dangerous countries in the world” due of its “nuclear weapons without any cohesiveness.”
The US president made the remarks on Thursday while speaking at a reception for the Democratic congressional campaign committee.
“And Pakistan, which I consider to be among the most dangerous countries in the world. A copy of the speech, which was made available on the White House website, cited Biden as saying, “Nuclear weapons without any cohesiveness.”

In his remarks, Vice President Biden discussed how the geopolitical landscape was shifting around the world and how nations were reevaluating their ties in light of the quickening pace of change.
“And the reality is, I honestly think that the rest of the world is looking to us. Not a joke. Even our adversaries are trying to figure out how we do this and what we do, he continued.
Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), reacted to the development by holding the Shehbaz Sharif government accountable for US President Joe Biden’s contentious remarks regarding the nuclear program, claiming that they demonstrate the complete failure of the imported government’s foreign policy.
