Chitral: Frontier Corps North is continously focusing to provide basic health facilities to the locals living in far flung areas of Chitral. For the purpose, 41 members medical team was invited in Chitral including 6 eyes specialists, 2 gynaecologists, 1 radiologist, 6 paramedics, 17 medical students and 9 college students as volunteers to organise four days Free Medical Camps. The medical team visited various places to provide free medical treatment to the locals. In Chitral, a total of 187 patients were treated at Scouts Hospital Chitral. 20 Cataract Surgeries were also performed. In order to facilitate the locals, Frontier Corps North arranged free transport facility to 51 patients from Ursun, Domel, Arandu & Ramran. On the 2nd day of the visit, In Chitral and Garam Chashma 200 Patients were checked. OPD of 300 patients were also done. 20 patients were shifted to Scouts Hospital for Surgeries from Garam Chasma. A total of 50 Surgeries were performed at Scouts Hospital Chitral. On 3rd day, the medical team visited Mastuj owing to recent floods in Upper Chitral where OPD of 312 patients were done. In addition to OPD, 2 surgeries were also done. On the last day of the visit, the medical team visited Bamburaite where OPD of 65 patients were conducted. Locals appreciated the efforts of the Frontier Corps North for organising such important Free Medical Camps at the time when those needed the most.
