Lahore: Governor Punjab Balighl-ur-Rehman in a special meeting with senior member of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Zahid Safi, assured that not only the Pakistani government but the entire Pakistani population stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Kashmir, with a commitment to walk, live, and strive together.
Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman emphasized that Pakistan supports not only the freedom movement in Kashmir but also endeavours to garner support globally, reaching out to activists and media outlets to highlight the cause. He expressed the resolve to persistently raise the Kashmir issue on diplomatic fronts.
The governor stated that every possible effort would be exerted to strengthen the political movement for freedom, using any necessary means to ensure its robustness. He reiterated the importance of keeping the sacrifices of freedom fighters, martyrs, and affected individuals in mind, emphasizing that the Kashmiri people will never be left alone, and the commitment to walk, live, and achieve success together will remain unyielding.
Governor Punjab likened the Kashmir issue to the Palestine problem, declaring that Pakistan will always be prepared to pay any price for the Kashmir cause, be it in the face of Zionist and Hindutva conspiracies or any other challenges.
Zahid Safi expressed gratitude to the governor, acknowledging the unwavering support of the Pakistani nation for their Kashmiri brethren. He stressed the crucial need for the Kashmir issue to be a fundamental concern in upcoming elections so that the elected prime minister continues to prioritize and address the Kashmir matter after assuming office.
