Govt actively working to ensure provision of best public health facilities: Dr. Akhtar Malik

MULTAN: Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Care Punjab Dr Akhtar Malik has said that the Punjab government is actively working to ensure the provision of the best public health facilities to the people at their doorsteps. All resources are being used to provide the best medical facilities to the people without discrimination. He said these things while inaugurating the supply of ambulance, cardiac monitor, ultrasound and other medical machinery at Rural Health Center Makhdoom Rashid. On this occasion, the provincial health minister also inaugurated a hepatitis screening camp at the health center. Secretary Health South Punjab Muhammad Iqbal, Director Hepatitis Control Program Dr. Shahid Hussain Magsi, CEO Multan Dr. Ali Mehdi, MS Shahbaz Sharif Hospital Multan Dr. Rao Amjad, and other officers were present along with the provincial health minister while a large number of local elders and people also participated in the opening ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Malik said that provision of ambulance and other medical machinery at Rural Health Center Makhdoom Rashid will help in efficient service delivery, besides 40 lakhs for the rehabilitation of Rural Health Center.
On this occasion, Secretary Health South Punjab Muhammad Iqbal said that attendance of staff and availability and supply of medicines are being ensured at all health centers and all options are being used to provide medical services to the people without discrimination at their doorsteps.
