SWABI:Salman Khan, a resident of Swabi and an employee of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) in grade BPS-16, is living in fear for his life and the lives of his family members due to persistent threats from unknown criminals. Addressing At a press conference here on saturday, Khan shared his harrowing experiences, revealing that he has been followed and targeted by unknown suspects who have made multiple attempts on his life.
Khan recounted several incidents, including being fired upon while driving and his house being attacked at night by unidentified individuals. He expressed his concerns, stating that he has no personal enmity with anyone, yet his life and family are in grave danger.
Khan believes that these threats are connected to his close friendship with Mashal Khan, who was brutally killed in a blasphemy-related incident at AWKUM in 2017. He fears that his association with Mashal Khan has made him a target for those who seek to silence him.
Despite his efforts to live a peaceful life, Khan’s family and he are facing constant threats and intimidation. He has appealed to the government and concerned security institutions to provide him and his family with protection and security measures until the situation normalizes.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incidents and are searching for the unknown accused. Khan hopes that swift action will be taken to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure his family’s safety.end#
