Islamophobia

We have heard this word Islamophobia many times on social media and daily news that the incident of Islamophobia happened in this country and that. In last two decades we have seen that Islamophobia has increased to the alarming point and it is true that Islamophobia has grown to a level that no one can imagine. Blasphemy cases are continuously increasing not only in Pakistan but in the whole world it has escalated to such an extent that now it seems impossible to stop it from further increasing. We know that penalties for such cases exist but still we encounter these cases. Before going into too much detail first we have to understand that what does this word “Islamophobia” mean-Islamophobia is the fear and hostility toward Muslims, Islam and their Islamic most revered figures and often leads to hatred speeches and hatred crimes against Muslims, Islam and anything associated with their religion. In short it is the combination of hate, fear and anxiety against Islam. Muslims are facing prejudice and discrimination on the basis of their religion at workplace, in streets and in short wherever they go they become victims of those extremists who question on the religion of Muslims. Islamophobia is the burning question of the day because when we see any case of blasphemy so every Muslim show his/her reaction and outrage against that and yes we cannot do anything except condemnation, but is it not the duty of Islamic world to raise their voice against such things? . If they will not do anything so should we expect it from western world? They have nothing to do with it because these cases are having their roots in western countries. Now, it’s up to the Islamic world that how they play their role because condemning is not enough but the scenario is that they do not have any unity and this is the thing which is deplorably lacking in Islamic countries so if they want to cope with such issues then they have to make the block of Islamic countries. They have to send this message to the world that they can tolerate anything but cannot endure things against their religion. We should remember that drop by drop becomes ocean similarly we cannot stop it at once but at least we can take initiative. Pakistan played its part bravely in United Nations General Assembly when ex Prime Minister Imran Khan gave his bombastic speech and he started his speech that there is no one but Allah and after that he gave historical speech about Islamophobia. He said that there should be a day to combat Islamophobia so that people will know more about Islam. In the run of that speech UN General Assembly designated 15th March as the “International Day to Combat Islamophobia”.We have recently noticed such cases in India specifically which manifests itself in different forms. One of the girl namely Muskan when she was going to college then she faced hindrance from Hindu zealots that why Muslim girls wear scarves. She handled that situation bravely and moved ahead and didn’t bow before them. We have seen another case of blasphemy in Norway where the infidel was trying to burn the copy of Holy Quran and people were just playing the role of spectators but one valorous person from the crowd namely Omer Dabaa Ilyas jumped over that infidel and saved the Holy Quran from his mischievous act. He received threats from people but he was not scared because he had succeeded in his aim and received appreciation from different Islamic countries for his bravery. If the trees of the world become pen, the earth becomes paper, the water of the oceans become ink and I would write then all these things will end but my writing won’t complete.
