In the DC Comics Extended film world, Henry Cavill has formally announced that he will reprise his role as Superman. After appearing in Black Adam, the upcoming DC movie starring Dwayne Johnson, Cavill was confirmed to play Clark Kent, nicknamed Superman.
On Monday, the Man of Steel actor revealed that he would be reprising his role as the legendary hero by posting a video to Instagram.
In a video that included a picture of him sporting the recognisable red cape and blue tights, Cavill declared, “I wanted to make it official – I am back as Superman.”
“What you saw in “Black Adam” and the image you see on this post are just a little preview of what’s to come, he continued.
There are many things for which Cavill can be grateful, and he promised to address them in due course, but first he wanted to express his gratitude to his supporters for their loyalty and endurance. It will be rewarded, I guarantee.”
The Witcher actor said in the video, “I wanted to wait until the weekend was through before uploading this because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch Black Adam, but now that many of you have, I wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman.”
