JI demands to reduce price of kitchen items

Muzaffarabad () The Deputy Ameer of Jamat-i-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sheikh Aqeel-ur-Rehman has demanded the AJK government to announce a relief package for the inflation hit people.

He was talking to the Secretary Food and Agriculture, AJK government , Mansoor Qadir Dar, during a meeting in his office . The Secretary Food was also flanked by a delegation.

He said that the government may reduce the price of flour and make   necessary arrangements to convey it to each citizen of the state. Moreover, the smuggling of flour must be prevented.

He said that the price of edible items and kitchen commodities may be diminished and the price committees may be activated to save the people from the clutches of hostile profiteers.

The JI leader said that the excessive price hike has broken the backbone of the common man and his stove has been turned off.  In these hard circumstances it is the obligation of the government to give maximum relief to the people in terms of necessary palatable items.

On the occasion Secretary Food and Agriculture assured him that the AJK government is taking every measure to ensure the uninterrupted supply of flour to the far flung areas of Azad Kashmir.
