Kashmir Issue will be resolved soon: Chaudhary Arshad

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Minister of Energy and Water Resources Development Agency Mirpur Chaudhry Arshad Hussain has said that the officers and line staff of the Electronics Department deserve to be congratulated for providing uninterrupted electricity supply in the month of Ramadan.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Munir Akhtar Salharia. On this occasion Technical Assistant Chaudhry Khalil Ahmed, PS Malik Ashfaq Ahmed Awan were also present.

He said that the government is taking great steps to improve the education system in the region.  People should enrol children in government educational institutions, while teachers should improve the quality of education and teaching methods so that people’s trust increases towards government institutions.

Due to shortage of funds from the Federal government. Azad Kashmir government is facing delay in construction and development works. The federal government should increase the budget of Azad Kashmir instead of cutting it so that the AJK government can continue to work on construction and development projects for the welfare of the people of the state along with highlighting the Kashmir issue.

He said that the manner in which the president of the state, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has raised the issue of Kashmir in the United Nations and the way in which he is placing the case of Kashmiris before the European Union through protests in Europe. I am confident that the Kashmir issue will be resolved soon.

He said that on April 5, President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry addressed the session of the Legislative Assembly and informed the assembly members about the progress on the Kashmir issue to which all the members of the Assembly paid tribute to the efforts of the President of the State.
