Former Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Central Vice President of PML(N) AJK Chapter Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that he would thwart the plan to make Kashmir a province or division of state till his last breath.
He was speaking to a public meeting of the PML(N) UK Chapter . He said that there is not any rule of law in AJK. The local bodies elections were held in the state on the orders of the Supreme Court. He said that his government had kept the foundation of development in AJK but the current government had ruined it.
“I want to unite the Kashmiri diaspora for the independence of Kashmir from Indian clutches. For this purpose I also talked to President Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary . When we all sit at one table , then we will talk about the plebiscite in Kashmir.”, ex PM AJK added.
He said that India would not accept the slogan “Kashmir will become Pakistan” but the catchphrase “Kashmir will be independent” would not be acceptable for both India and Pakistan. So the plebiscite is the only way to resolve the Kashmir issue as the right of self-determination is always unconditional.
He said that the doctrine of necessity , which was started with the Maulvi Tameez-ud-Din case, is still alive in Pakistan even though the courts allowed dictators to amend the constitution.
He said that PML(N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif faced the worst kind of political victimization.
He said that the change of procedure to appoint the judges has become the need of the day. Rather the change in the entire judicial system of Pakistan has become a must.
