KPL is best opportunity for Kashmiri players : CEO

Muzaffarabad: The Chief Executive Officer of Kashmir Premier League (KPL) , Chaudhry Shahzad Akhtar has said that that the Federal League was a significant addition to KPL, which truly strengthened cricket in the AJK. All ten districts of Azad Kashmir formed teams that gave ample opportunities to all Kashmiri players.
He was speaking to the Chief Coordinator of Kashmir Premier League for Canada and the USA, Nair Shahzad Abbasi, telephonically. He said that he had always shown great concern for Kashmiri players, whether they were overseas players or local ones. He expressed his desire to promote cricket in Kashmir
Chaudhry Shahzad further said that the suggestions regarding including overseas Kashmiri players would be discussed with the management, and he hoped to share good news soon.
On the occasion, Nair Abbasi expressed his hope that Chaudhry Shahzad would continue to support and promote the top performers in KPL and bring them forward as a part of Kashmir Premier League. He suggested that each KPL team should have at least one overseas Kashmiri player, and he receives frequent requests from the overseas Kashmiri community to be a part of KPL.
He hoped that just as KPL and Federal League had strengthened cricket in Azad Kashmir, Sindh Premier League would also promote cricket in Sindh. He thanked the management team, especially Malik Arif, Chaudhry Shahzad, and Thaqib Khattak, and conveyed his best wishes to them.
