Minority Rights Violated in India, President AJK

Islamabad: In a detailed meeting with distinguished presidential adviser Raja Naamdar Iqbal at the President House in Islamabad, the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, expressed his concerns over the violation of minority rights by the Modi government in India.
He stated that the Modi government has deprived minorities of their rights in India, leading to a grave violation of human rights. The international community has now openly started speaking out against this injustice and barbarism. Following the examples of other countries and the recent referendum in Kashmir, they have demanded that Manipur be established as a separate nation for Christians due to the persecution they face alongside other religious communities in India, including the European Union and other nations.

President AJK emphasized that, just as Modi’s policies promoting Hindu nationalism have created a hostile environment for minorities, it is now impossible for Hindus and Christians to coexist. Therefore, Manipur should be given the status of a separate state. Recently, a mosque was also demolished in Maharashtra. Similarly, the people of occupied Kashmir have been subjected to immense oppression and brutality. Therefore, I urge the Kashmiri diaspora abroad to intensify their efforts in exposing the ugly face of India to the world. These remarks were made by him during a detailed meeting held at the President House in Islamabad, where he was accompanied by Raja Sikander and other officials.

Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry further stated, “I have been saying from the beginning that the Modi government’s policies of Hindu nationalism will eventually fragment India and due to Modi’s policies, India is on the verge of disintegration. He has shattered the façade of being the world’s largest democracy and a secular state. It is not the world’s largest democracy; rather, it is a Hindutva dominant state. Modi’s Hindu majority in India has made life difficult for Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Dalits, and other minorities, violating human rights on a large scale. Therefore, India is heading towards its own demise, and soon the mask will fall off. Moreover, the oppression and brutality unleashed by India in Kashmir were bound to yield some results, which will be brought before the world when India crumbles.”
