MLA censures Indian efforts for Yasin’s death penalty

Mirpur: Member of the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain has said that he strongly condemns the appeal filed by the Indian agency, NIA (National Investigation Agency), in the Delhi High Court to convert the life imprisonment of Kashmiri freedom leader Yasin Malik into the death penalty.

He expressed his disapproval as Yasin Malik was already unjustly sentenced to life imprisonment. An appeal has been made to the United Nations to release Yasin Malik and to urge the international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir issue according to UN resolutions.

He said that India wants to crush the Kashmir freedom movement by eliminating freedom leaders through organized conspiracies, but they will never succeed. The struggle for the freedom of Kashmir will continue.
