Haji Mohammad Javed, a former provincial minister and successful businessman, was the target of a second hand grenade attack, the second such incident to occur at his home in the previous two days.
No injuries or property damage were reported during a grenade strike on Javed’s house in Gulbahar, according to a police official from the capital city.
Senior police officers, according to the official, hurried to the scene as the bomb disposal specialists gathered evidence there.
The home of a top member of the Tablighi Jamaat was recently targeted by a grenade strike. No one was hurt or anything was damaged in that occurrence either. His home was also attacked a good number of months ago.

In recent months, extortion calls have been made to businesspeople and political figures. Almost all of these incidents went unreported to the police.
