PDM led government saves country from bankruptcy: says Punjab Governor

Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman has said that the coalition government saved the country from bankruptcy even after it took responsibility in a difficult situation.

He was speaking to Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah who called on him here at Governor House. During the meeting, rehabilitation of flood victims in Sindh, promotion of education and the current political situation of the country was discussed.

Baligh said that the greatest need at this time is to foster unity, inculcate the spirit of patriotism and strengthen democracy. He said that a strong Pakistan should be the top priority of all of us.  Governor Punjab said that there is a need to promote technical education for the development of the country, because technical education is the reliable source of human development, and the guarantor of national prosperity. He said that children can be educated with less resources through non-formal education in remote areas, where there are no formal schools. Governor Punjab said that there is a need to take stringent measures to reduce the number of out-of-school children.

Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that some elements want to create anarchy and instability in the country. He said that the government is currently facing many challenges. The government is facing the issue of rehabilitation of flood victims, economic and other challenges. In view of the situation, all political parties, except one political party, were of the view that the election should be held at the same time in the whole country. The Sindh Chief Minister further said that public transport facilities have been increased for the people of Sindh, and the government is utilizing all available resources for the welfare of the people.
