PM AJK for improving economic condition of state

Islamabad: Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has reiterated his government’s commitment to utilize all available resources for the welfare of people and to uplift the downtrodden sections of society.

While talking to various public delegations and government ministers who called on him here today, the AJK premier said that pro-people policies would be made and implemented to raise the standard of living of ordinary citizens.
He said that with a view to improving the economic condition of the state, the productive sector has been given top priority in the budget.
” If the production sector develops, the economic condition of the state will automatically improve and people will get employment opportunities”, the PM said, adding that the government’s main focus was to increase revenue by developing tourism and hydel-power sectors. He said that there would be no compromise on the speed and quality of the development projects.
 He said that no doubt the government was a main stakeholder but every conscious citizen has a role in the development of the state.
Stressing the need for across the board accountability, the PM said, “No society can flourish sans accountability”.
He said that development on the ground would be visible only if funds allocated in the budget were utilized honestly.
Pertinently, Senior Minister Colonel Retired Waqar Ahmad Noor, Government Ministers Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Chaudhry Mohammad Rasheed, Nisar Ansar Abdali, Qasim Majeed and Javed Butt were also present at the meeting.
