PM AJK leads crucial talks on regional challenges

Islamabad: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, and the Federal Minister of Defense, General (Retired) Anwar Haider Ali, jointly chaired a momentous meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee. The high-profile gathering included key ministers and officials, showcasing a united effort to address pressing regional concerns.

The session delved into a range of critical issues, encompassing the Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Agreement, challenges associated with the Mangla Dam, electricity production rates, the construction of the Rathoa Haryam Bridge, and other pertinent matters. Robust discussions ensued, and a collective determination to resolve these challenges was palpable.

While expressing gratitude, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq acknowledged Prime Minister Pakistan Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar of Pakistan for establishing the committee under the capable leadership of Federal Minister of Defense General (Retired) Anwar Haider Ali. He underscored the pivotal role of the committee in finding effective solutions to the complex issues faced by Azad Kashmir. As a concrete outcome of the meeting, a dedicated working group was formed to meticulously review all identified issues and present a comprehensive report to the central committee, adhering to the defined Terms of Reference (TOR).

Describing the inaugural session as motivational, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq emphasized that the Inter-Ministerial Committee is unwavering in its commitment to understanding and effectively addressing regional challenges.
