PMC hosts ACRP Nation-wide formative meeting

Nation-wide formative meetings of Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) held at various provincial locations. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa meeting held at Peshawar Medical College (PMC), Peshawar where all the constituent institutions of Prime Foundation (PF) and the leading clinical scientists of the local public sector participated.
Dr. Baber Saeed National Coordinator ARCP Pakistan Chapter led online the roundtable plenary from Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi, whereas Prof. Dr. Najib ul Haq (Patron and Adviser Health & Education of PF) led the local event. The roundtable meeting resolved to transform the research ecosystem in the country and its component provinces through an inclusive process of institutional engagement and development down the line and in this context, determination was expressed to benefit from each other’s experiences.
It is worth mentioning that ARCP is an USA based global clinical research initiative with country offshoots that facilitates capacity for clinical trials in terms of institutional development, quality assurance, certified courses on a multitude of clinical research areas ethical conduct of research trials. The formation of Pakistan Chapter is expected to significantly contribute towards research knowledge economy given that Pakistan has a robust healthcare and pharmaceutical industry to the tune of billions.
