Police to eradicate crime from Malakand :, says RPO

Regional Police Officer Malakand Division Nasir Mehmood Satti has instructed the police to speed up their efforts against antisocial elements and criminals.

He was issuing the performance report of the police for the month of February 2023.

He said that all kinds of facilities would be provided to tourists, for this purpose facilitation centers for them would be established at all the tourist points as well as the entry points of each district.

The performance report revealed that the police force conducted intelligence based search and strike operations, snap checking and night patrolling and arrested almost 112 culprits wanted in cases regarding heinous crimes. Besides this about 1184 persons were questioned during last month at Malakand division.

A heavy cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from different criminals including 13 short machine guns, 19 rifles, 76 short guns and 7141 rounds along with four kilograms of explosives.

During one month, the police also recovered 145 kg  Charas, five kg heroin, 1.5 kg ice, 500 gram of poppy and 96 liters of liquor.

“Police also took 74 wooden sleepers from the custody of the timber mafia. Stolen goods worth of Rs 10 million were also recovered during different raids and searches at check posts”, the report added.
