MUZAFFARABAD: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry on Monday administered the oath of office to newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. The swearing in ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Muzaffarabad was attended by speaker Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, former Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, members of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan and several others.Addressing the swearing in ceremony, newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas while terming unemployment as the biggest challenge said that the government would work hard to overcome the ever-rising unemployment and joblessness in the region. He said that the people of the region have the right to state resources. “We will work hard to serve the masses under the guidance of President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary”, he said, adding that team work was key to development and prosperity of the state.He said that the government would prove its performance through actions. He said that the government would provide equal funds to refugee constituencies.Lauding the matchless sacrifices rendered by Kashmiri women in the Indian occupied Kashmir, the PM said that the world was proud of Kashmiri mothers who had given birth to great sons like Burhan Wani. He said that people like Yasin Malik, Syed Ali Geelani and Shabir Shah had to spend most of their lives in Indian jails for the sake of noble cause of freedom.He said that since 5th August 2019 India had turned Kashmir into an open air prison where essential fundamental freedoms remain non-existent.The President also administered oath to Ministers Khawaja Farooq Ahmed and Chaudhry Akhlaq Ahmed.
