Protest on 1500 days of Indian military siege in Jammu and Kashmir

Muzaffarabad: People of Jammu and Kashmir staged protest procession on completion of 1500 days of Indian unilateral acts and division of the state of Jammu and Kashmir contrary to UN passed resolutions.

According to details, massive protest was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir against the Indian government on its August 5, 2019 act which abrogated the special status of the disputed region.

The anti-India protestors marched from Lalchowk Upper Adda to CMH road besides holding banners, placards and waving black flags against Indian illegal actions in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

 

The Anti-India rally was led by Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Imtiaz Wani, Shaukat Javed Mir, Bilal Ahmed Farooqui, Usman Ali Hashim, Dr. Muhammad Manzoor, Muhammad Aslam Inqalabi, Raja Zameer Hussain, Faisal Farooq, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan and others.

While addressing the rally, the speakers said that today it has been 1500 days when Indian government abolished the status of the state by committing the worst aggression on Kashmiri people.

Speakers said that India has trampled the United Nations passed resolutions on Kashmir while on the other hand, it has completely ignored the status of Pakistan as the main party on Kashmir issue, and made the internationally recognized controversial issue even more complicated.

They said that the occupied state has become a prison under the surveillance of 1 million Indian soldiers and the government of India has enslaved 1.3 million people by implementing the worst black laws.

“The basic human, social, political and religious rights of the people of the occupied state have been usurped at gunpoint”, speakers maintained.

“The people of the state will continue their resistance against Indian oppression till independence”, thy reiterated.

 

Protestants appealed to all the member states of the United Nations, the OIC and the European Union to immediately annul the Indian actions of August 5, 2019 and fulfill their promises to the people of the state on the right to self-determination.
