As the opposition PTI questioned the security of the Prime Minister’s Office, fresh allegedly leaked audio clips allegedly depicting members of the ruling coalition’s leadership appeared on the internet (PMO).
A day prior, a social media leak of an audio recording of a supposed conversation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and a government official went viral.
During the more than two-minute audio tape, which PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry posted on Twitter, a voice claiming to be that of Prime Minister Shehbaz was heard saying that Maryam Nawaz had asked him to help her son-in-law Raheel import machinery for a power plant from India.
The videos that surfaced today and were posted on Twitter by a number of PTI leaders dealt with the National Assembly resignations of PTI legislators as well as the troubled Finance Minister Miftah Ismail.
he first clip purports to show a discussion concerning Miftah, who has apparently come under fire inside the party for implementing strict economic policies, between PML-N Vice President Maryam and the premier.
The vice president of the PML-N has openly said that she disagrees with the decision to raise the price of gasoline and electricity, claiming that she did not make such decisions, whether or not her party was in power.
