Ready to resolve all issues through dialogue with Public Action Committee: PM AJK

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, has stated that the deployment of security forces is not aimed at quelling the protests of the Punjab and Frontier Constabulary Public Action Committee but rather to ensure security for foreign engineers working on hydro-power projects in Azad Kashmir. He emphasized that the Bright Pakistan project is the death knell for India. Peaceful protest is a democratic and fundamental right in Azad Kashmir, but no one should be allowed to take the law into their own hands during this process.
Speaking to the media in the capital city of Muzaffarabad, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq stated that India does not want Azad Kashmir and Pakistan to benefit from the electricity generated by the water gold of Azad Kashmir. If any non-agent infiltrates the protests of the Public Action Committee and causes damage, they will be held accountable. It is the responsibility of the government to protect the lives and property of ordinary citizens and protesters. The Azad Kashmir police are sufficient to maintain peace and security during the protests.
Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq expressed his desire to resolve all issues through dialogue with the Public Action Committee. The leader of the committee, Shaukat Nawaz Mir, has acknowledged in a statement that ninety-nine percent of the issues have been resolved between the government and the committee. The Prime Minister said that we want to find a permanent solution to the problems. By utilizing our hydro potential, we can generate 300 to 400 megawatts of electricity and provide convenience to the people. He stated that once we eliminate lawlessness and corruption, the paths to progress will open up. We must promote the role of law and justice for real progress. Ensuring the protection of life, property, honor, and dignity of every citizen of the state is crucial.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of sincerity, otherwise, the agreement with the Public Action Committee is a testament, wherein the committee has agreed that ninety-nine percent of the issues have been resolved. The police patrols are meant to restore peace and security; unnecessary harassment should be avoided. The Prime Minister stated that there should be no irresponsible demonstration in the name of journalism; irresponsible reporting must come to an end. Before publishing stories about Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan, the Minister of Rehabilitation Affairs, Jawed Iqbal Badhanvi, should be consulted. He stressed that an incomplete truth is more dangerous than a complete lie.
