ISLAMABAD: Renowned journalist, Syed Khalid Gardezi appointed as Press Coordinator/Press Secretary to Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan. An official notification has been issued in this regard. National Press Club Islamabad, RIUJ, Central Press Club Muzaffarabad, Journalist organizations across the country congratulated and appreciated the move.
Syed Khalid Gardezi has been working as a journalist in Islamabad for the last 17 years. As a partner and Editor, he founded the first registered digital media group, StateViews.pk and the Daily State Views. Prior to that, he held other important administrative positions, including editor in national and state newspapers. He is an elected member of the governing body of National Press Club Islamabad. He is founder and Secretary General of Kashmir Editor’s Council. He is a senior member of the Kashmir Journalists Forum – an organization of Kashmiri journalists in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He is a National Security Workshop Certified. In this regard, his analysis and reports are published nationally. He has played an important role in the positive professional harmony of international and national journalists.
During his journalistic career, he worked on various topics which include conflict, politics, constitution and others. He studied political science while doing dozens of professional journalistic training courses at home and abroad. He is member of Press Foundation Azad Kashmir, the only constitutional body for journalists. He is also national coordinator at Pakistan Federation of Columnists.
