In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the PML-N government has taken power and made the construction and development of the state one of its priorities. To this end, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, doubled the state’s frozen development budget from year to year and later, through the 13th Amendment, gave the state administrative and financial autonomy. These steps of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir were well received across the state. After the financial autonomy, the historic process of construction and development in Azad Kashmir began which has brought about a revolution in whole state in four and a half years.
The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Two and a half billion rupees. These projects include upgradation and reconditioning of Muzaffarabad – Noseri Road Rs. 217.212 Million, Kahuri – Patikha Dewlian Bypass Road Rs. 304.580 Million, Harama Parschha Bridge Rs. 30.5 Million, THQ Hospital Patikha, Phase-I Rs. 232.711 million, THQ Hospital Phase-II with 30 beds Rs. 271.896 million, Balsiri Mini Stadium Rs. 3.666 million and Sub Divisional Office Pattaka Rs. 31.307 million.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan, daughter of Kotla Mohtarma Noreen Arif, young leader PML-N Faraz Arif were given a warm welcome from Kahuri to Patikha. The people of the area paid rich tribute to the leaders. When the Prime Minister reached the venue, he was warmly welcomed by the party workers with chanted slogans. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir, Government Ministers Chaudhry Muhammad Aziz, Dr Najeeb Naqi, Barrister Iftikhar Gillani, Chaudhry Shehzad and Special Assistant Raja Imdad Ali Tariq.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, while addressing the largest public gathering in the history of Kotla constituency, said that he was happy to see the construction and development of Kotla. The people are satisfied with the performance of Noreen Arif and the PML-N government. We will not allow anyone to play with the rights of the people of Azad Kashmir. He made it clear that there is no provision of caretaker set up under the constitution of Azad Kashmir and he will remain in power till the new Prime Minister takes oath of office. He said the government will strongly resist any move to change the status of Azad Kashmir and will not allowed to make Azad Kashmir a province of Pakistan . While lauding the performance of Ms. Noreen Arif, The premier said that, she is a courageous woman who served the people of Kotla to the fullest.
Referring to the achievement of his government he said after coming into power a comprehensive development policy was chalked out to provide education, health and communications facilities to the masses and opened a door of progress and prosperity in the state. He said Muslim league (N) was established in 2010 and within a shortest span of period and as a result of team work Muslim league (N) has become a biggest party of the state and expressed the hope that his party will set up next government in Azad Kashmir in view of our performance. The Prime Minister thanked the generous financial assistance extended to Azad Kashmir government by the former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as a result of which mega developmental projects were completed by the government for socio economic wellbeing of the people of Azad Kashmir. He particularly lauded the leadership and dedicated role of AJK Minister Noreen Arif to serve the people of Kotla area.
Addressing the gathering, Speaker Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir said that for the freedom of Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, it is necessary to have stability here in Azad Kashmir and only PML-N could bring stability. He paid rich tribute to the people of Kotla and Nooreen Arif for holding such a big rally. Minister for Industries and Women Development Ms. Noreen Arif said that the people of Kotla have proved that the time to come is only of PML-N. She also paid tribute to the people of Kotla for holding such a grand public gathering. “Government did not spare a single minute to serve the people of Kotla. The people of Kotla broke the idols of communalism for which they deserve tribute. The Kotla constituency has witnessed the most development work during the last four and a half years of which I am proud”, she added.
Minister for Public Works, Chaudhry Muhammad Aziz congratulated the zealous people and youth of Kotla for holding such a large gathering. The people of Kotla proved that the next government also belongs to PML-N. The Muslim League is the guarantor of the future and development of Pakistan. Under the leadership of Raja Farooq Haider Khan, they are united and organized, he added. Minister for health, Dr. Najeeb Naqi said that, under the leadership of Noreen Arif, exemplary construction and development took place in Kotla. Minister for Education, Barrister Iftikhar Gillani said that, “today I congratulate the people of Kotla for deciding the next election in favor of Noorin Arif. I am happy to see the construction and development of Kotla. The work done by PML-N under the leadership of Raja Farooq Haider Khan is unprecedented”, he added.
Minister for Small Industries, Chaudhry Shehzad Mehmood said that, “I congratulate all the workers of PML-N on the founding day of PML-N, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.People know what PML-N has done in the last four years. No one can match our performance. In 2016, his team worked hard to deliver on the promises made by the government led by Farooq Haider, he added. No doubt PML-N government, led by Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan has done remarkable development in the history of AJK, and the journey is continued.
