Sami Aslam disappointed over not being picked for New Zealand tour

Karachi: Young left-handed batsman Sami Aslam has expressed his frustration over not being picked in the 35-member squad for the New Zealand tour.

The 24-year-old shared his disappointment on Twitter and reminded selectors about his recent performances.

“Disappointed that I didn’t get any chance to be in 35 players for New Zealand tour and the last UK tour even after good last Quaid-e- Azam 2019-20 Trophy,” Sami wrote.

“I was one of the top run makers, scored 864 runs (4 centuries) at an average of 78,” he pointed out his performances of last year.

In the last part of the tweet, he added that he was dropped from the Test squad after not getting a game in his last tour of England back in 2018.

It must be noted that Sami has played 13 Tests and four ODIs for Pakistan. He has scored 758 runs with a highest score of 91.
