Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar publicly resigns.

Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, a senator for the PPP, resigned from his position on Thursday after formally submitting his resignation to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and stating that he will be independent for the time being.
His seat was declared vacant once the Senate formally accepted his resignation.
The politician tweeted his resignation along with a photo of himself with Sanjrani, writing:
“All praise to Allah, I have today submitted my resignation in writing. I’m grateful for the enthusiastic response and support from people of all parties, which exceeded my expectations.
He “clearly” stated to those who were speculating about his potential role in national politics that he would not join any political party.
The senator pledged, “I will work hard to protect my independence.”
As a result of allegations that the PPP was unhappy with his political stance, the PPP veteran had earlier this week declared that he will formally retire from his position as a senator.
As the former PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-spokesperson Zardari’s until his resignation in December 2020, Khokhar has been critical of the administration ever since it took office. In April, he decided not to accept ordination as a state minister.
The party leadership “wasn’t happy with my political positions and requested my resignation from the Senate,” the PPP leader claimed in a series of tweets after meeting a top party official.
According to Bilawal’s former spokesman, “I enthusiastically accepted to resign […] will be submitting my resignation in person to Chairman Senate tomorrow, Insha[A]llah.”
Khokhar said he values his ability to voice his ideas on issues of public importance as a political worker.
“I’m grateful to the party leadership for handing me the Sindh Senate seat. Putting differences aside, it has been a beautiful trip with them, and we wish them the best.” PPP Senator Farooq H Naik notified Khokhar of the party’s concerns.
