To purchase an iPhone 14 hours before its introduction in India, an Indian guy goes to Dubai.

For the newest iPhone, a man from India who claimed to be a huge fan of Steve Jobs and Apple travelled thousands of kilometres to Dubai.

Just hours before the iPhone 14 Pro appeared on sale in India, Dheeraj Palliyil took a flight from Kerala, India, to Dubai. He told the Independent that he wanted to be among the first to get the most recent model.

The flights cost the man INR40,000 ($500), and the smartphone cost him considerably more. This demonstrates how intensely the iPhone is desired.

Palliyil has experienced this before, though. He’s been to Dubai three times previously to acquire the newest iPhone and remain ahead of the competition.

He had his first trip in 2017, the year the iPhone 8 was released, and then went on two more journeys in 2019 and 2021.

He added, adding that he didn’t want to wait long, “I enjoy the excitement of waiting outside an Apple shop to be among the first to buy the phone.”

So, on September 16, he purchased an iPhone.

Before, it may take up to two weeks for the models to be released in India following an overseas sale. Palliyil claimed that even though the releases this time were only a few hours a part, it had become his “custom to buy the latest phone in Dubai.”

Businessman and director Palliyil claimed that late Apple CEO Steve Jobs had always served as an inspiration.

He referred to himself as a tech enthusiast who is attempting to “commemorate” Jobs’ contributions.

Palliyil claimed that his family did not at first back him. They’d make fun of me for spending money on upscale items.

He told them that it wasn’t simply about getting an expensive gadget for him. His family now supports him and informs him about the most recent phone launches.

Palliyil is but one illustration of how devoted users are to iPhones and the extent to which they would go in order to obtain the newest models. People reportedly selling their organs to get the stuff and hanging around in front of establishments for hours on end are becoming very frequent.
