KASHMIR: The leaders of the Hurriyat Conference from all parties, Mir Muhammad Iqbal, Firdous Ahmad Shah, and Ghulam Nabi Waseem, have stated that the already unstable situation in South Asia has been made worse by India’s unilateral and unlawful activities on August 5, 2019 in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In speeches made in Srinagar, the leaders of the APHC claimed that the Indian administration, which is supported by the RSS, is deceiving the world by falsely claiming that IIOJK is experiencing peace now that Kashmir’s special status has been revoked.
The leaders claimed that since August 5, 2019, India has stepped up its efforts to conquer Kashmir and brutalise its people. They reaffirmed their determination to carry the liberation fight all the way to its logical conclusion, despite all obstacles, and insisted that the Kashmiris’ fervour for freedom could not be subdued by India’s militaristic stance in IIOJK.
The APHC leaders praised the Kashmiri martyrs and vowed that their suffering will never be in vain.
The Hurriyat leaders also prayed for the quick recovery of all ill Hurriyat members, particularly Abdul Samad Iqilabi, who is detained in a small, dim cell in the Varanasi Central Jail in Uttar Pradesh.
