Tourism in Pakistan

Tourism is a growing industry in Pakistan. Pakistan has a high potential for tourism. Pakistan was ranked ‘The best holiday destination’ in 2020. Foreigners usually visit here for recreational purpose. Tourism in Pakistan has increased more than 300 percent. Tourists usually come from United Kingdom, United states , India and China.
Pakistan is a country with scenic beauty. There are so many places to visit. The northern area of Pakistan is famous for its greenery. The Kalash community is present in Chitral valley. They are claimed to be decandants of ‘Alexander The Great’. The Himalaya is the highest mountain range in the world. It is located in South East of the river indus in Pakistan. There are different species of plant and animals in the Himalayan range. The provinces of Pakistan are different from each other according to culture and tradition. There are four provinces named: Sindh, Punjab , Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The culture in Punjab is very diverse. Muslims, Sikhs and Christians are found in different regions of the province. Lahore is the capital of Punjab province. It is famous for its gardens, Minar e Pakistan, Badshahi Mosque and Lahore fort etc. Tourists visit here due to its rich history. Sindh is located in South East region of Pakistan touching the Arabian Sea. The famous areas in Sindh are as follow: Mazar e Quaid , Frere Hall and Karachi Port Trust etc. Sindhis celebrate their festivals with enthusiasm.
Jason e Larkana , Sindh horse and cattle shows are very popular. Baluchistan province is present in the south west of Pakistan. The famous places include Mir Chakar Fort , Hingol National Park and Ziarat Residency. Balochi people are know for their music, traditions and loyalty. In Baluchistan, the 300 year old Sibi Mela is still celebrated every year.Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is located in the north west of Pakistan. The Pashtun people are known for their hospitality and bravery. The famous areas include Khyber Pass, Bala Hisar Fort , Qissa Khawani Bazaar and Chitral National Park. Important festivals festivals attract international spectators. Attan and Waziri dance are very popular.
Pakistan is famous for its hospitality and food. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the famous dishes include Chappal Kabab, Kabuli Pulao and Kandahari Naan. In Punjab the famous dish include ‘Saag roti’, vegetables , pulses and meat. The famous dish of Sindh include sindhi biryani, vegetables and pulses. Balouchis are masters in meat cooking. Their popular cuisines include Sajji, Namkeen Gosht , Dunpakht and many more.
In short , Pakistan is a best adventure destination for the tourists. There are so many exotic places that will give you a life time experience.
