Kotli: Training of Medical Officers regarding the primary eye care held at DHQ hospital,s conference room on Monday under the supervision of DHO Kotli Dr Shafqat Hussain Shah.This training was supported by an Australian Aid The Fred Hollow foundation.
MS DHQ Dr Muhammad Nasrulla,Consultant eye specialist DHQ teaching hospital Mirpur Dr Waseem Abbasi, Social Orgniser Mr Basharat Hussain, Health Education Officer Mr Mudasir Hussain Sha, ADC national Programme Mrs Kaldeep Akhtar and inchages of THQs, RHCs and BHUs were also amongst the valuable nominees. While addressing the participants District Health Officer Kotli Dr Shafqat Hussain Shah thanked the Ex Health Minister AJK Mr Nisar Anser Abdali, Secretary Health Maj Gen Zaheer, DG health Dr Aftab Ahmed and Professor Dr Waseem Abbasi for this great initiative they have taken.He also emphasised that all Health staff should focus on the preventive measures regarding the eye care.MS Dr Muhammad Nasrulla appreciated the proceedings of the workshop and by appreciating the contribution of Professor Dr Waseem Abbasi and Fred Hollow foundation. He said that through these workshops,preventive measures and referral system would improve and that would lead to a valuable outcome.Prof Doctor Waseem Abbasi thanked DHO Kotli, his team and MS Kotli for their cooperation and facilitation.He appreciated the efforts of Planning Officer Mrs Amna Sohail for successfully conducting the workshops all over the district.He also admired the work of optometrist Ms Rabia and Ms Tayba who delivered lectures regarding the primary eye care and preventive measures regarding eye care.Dr Usman Khalid Consultant eye Specialist DHQ Kotli gave presentation to the participants.
