Peshawar: As a major step in moving forward towards industrialization in KP, KPEZMDC BoD in its 36th meeting approved launching of Ghazi Economic Zone (89.9 acres), Chitral Economic Zone (40 acres), Jalozai Economic Zone (257.5 acre) and Nowshera Economic Zone Extension (76.25 acres). KPEZDMC has possession of the strategically located land of the proposed Economic Zones and shall soon commence formalities to initiate the work in these Zones. This is a pivotal step taken by KPEZDMC as not only it will create industrial growth and job creation for locals but also spur economic activity which has been slowed down by COVID 19. The Zones will bring billions of Rupees of investments and provide job opportunities to over 25000 people. The Zones will have electricity and a well-developed infrastructure which will facilitate investors looking forward to set up their industries close to their base or near raw materials. CEO KPEZDMC Mr. Javed Khattak stated that this was a crucial step for the province as we need to attract investment and boost economic activity in the region. With these new Zones, economy of the region will flourish and job generation will be achieved which is one of the primary tasks of KPEZDMC.
