CM GB terms budget as ‘anti-people’

GILGIT: Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman termed the federal budget as anti-people budget here on Sunday.

He said that Federal government did not give any relief to government employees and people in its budget. Due to the incompetent government prices have been increased by 50%. The increment in the value of Dollar becomes the reason of price hikes. So the salaries of employees should also be increased accordingly. Federal government did not cut its extra expenditures, he added.

CM GB said that it was decided two years ago that 3% from NFC will be given to GB, AJK, and FATA. But the current government removed AJK and GB from the fund. GB presents positive image of country worldwide. Therefore, federal government should give priority to GB. The increment of developmental budget was inevitable. But the federal government did not increate it, he further said He said that the country was on the track of progress and development during the tenure of PML-N. But due to the policies of PTI every department is facing crisis currently, he added.
