Ignoring women of occupied Kashmir injustice: Syed Aijaz Rehmani

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League on the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict day today,said that it is sheer injustice to ignore the women of occupied Kashmir suffering at the hands of Indian forces and police personnel. Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League vice chairman Syed Aijaz Rehmani in a statement said that the women of , Kunan-Poshpora, Shopian and dozens of other places in Kashmir are on record denied their justice till date and the Indian forces are still roaming free and even judiciary failed to nab culprits because men at the helm of affairs provided them shelter under draconian laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).The statement urged United Nations to protect security and dignity of oppressed women in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.Syed Aijaz Rehmani also paid rich tributes to martyred youth in Shopian and Pulwama district.He also urged  India to start a meaningful exercise to resolve the Kashmir dispute instead of suppressing the genuine struggle of the people of Kashmir through use of brute force and military violence
