India’s UNSC non-permanent membership shows dual standard of Int’l community: Dr. Khalid

Bureau Report

RAWALAKOT: India’s UNSC non-permanent membership is a defeat at diplomatic front, but the move has shown the dual standard of the international community, said the Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Khalid Mehmood Khan here on Sunday. He expressed this while addressing to the media persons in Rawalakot.

He said that India is continuously violating the resolutions of the United Nations (UN) so the ideal situation was that strict actions would have been taken against it. But the result is totally antithesis to it. World has come to know the real face of India after the decision of August 5, 2019. But it still supported India in getting UNSC membership, he added.

Indian is committing worst violations of human rights in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK). Innocent civilians are being targeted in the held valley. Dual standard of international community is responsible for the bloodshed in IOK, he further said.
