Peshawar: Mr. Abdul Kareem Khan (SACM on Industries) inaugurated Industrial Facilitation Center at Hattar Economic Zone (formerly Hattar Industrial Estate) and Hattar Special Economic Zone. The purpose of the Industrial Facilitation Center is to give industrialists of Hattar EZ and SEZ, all services under one roof including liaison with other Government Departments. A separate desk has been created to cater to the needs of industrialists. The IFC will receive application from industrialists and directly coordinate with Government departments to reduce the time taken to complete a task. This will enable industrialists to focus on their industries while KPEZDMC will cater to their need for NOCs, issues at utility companies and other Government departments. This concept will reduce bureaucratic hurdles and will be introduced to all Economic and Special Economic Zones of KP. The concept was introduced by the incoming CEO KPEZDMC Mr. Javed Khattak who believes that industrialists should be treated as esteemed customers and given excellent customers services. The event was attended by Mr. Abdul Kareem (SACM on Industries), CEO KPEZDMC, BoD Member Haji Iftikhar and Hattar SEZ Management Board Members. Mr. Abdul Kareem on the occasion said ‘priority of the government is to bring investment to the province. Industrialists have to be fully facilitated to ensure that full potential of KP in industrialization is achieved. KPEZDMC is evolving to be a model organization of Government of KP, expediting investment and enhancing economic activity in the province.’ CEO KPEZDMC Mr. Javed Khattak said ‘Industrialists are backbone of the economy and deserve full support of the government. My team and I are available 24/7 to serve the industrialists. My vision is to handhold the industrialists and ensure that they are facilitated in their existing and new ventures without hurdles.’ Mr. Abdul Karim and Javed Khattak also visited gas pipeline installation site of 2.5 mmcfd gas expected at the Hattar SEZ through a nearby SMS. SACM and CEO KPEZDMC both were satisfied by the pace of the work by SNGPL.
