Govt taking steps to bring reforms in electricity system: Raja Nisar

MUZAFFARABAD: The incumbent government of PML-N in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is taking remarkable steps for bringing reforms in electricity system to provide maximum relief to the masses, said the AJK Minister for Electricity, Raja Nisar Ahmed Khan here on Thursday. He expressed this while addressing the budget session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad.
He said that the steps of the government will resolve the issues of the masses and they will help in providing the electricity in the far away areas. The duration of load shedding has been cut down. Voltage has also been improved. There is no any single home in AJK which don’t need electricity. It is the basic necessity of life and everyone is linked with it. Lives of masses are dependent on electricity now, he added.
Speaking at the occasion, AJK Minister for Forests, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan said that the incumbent government of PML-N in AJK took remarkable steps during the current situation caused by the spread of coronavirus pandemic. There are two top priorities of the government of PML-N in AJK. First one is the Kashmir Movement, and second one is maintaining the good governance in the state. The current government has brought an historical revolution in the field of education. The role of National Testing Services (NTS) and AJK Public Service Commission played an important role in the betterment of education sector in the state, he added.
He said that Forests are the back bone of the economy.
